Co5 Vs Mudvayne x3
The battle of the bands was this weekend at The Main Stage. We almost tied for first, at least that�s what we were told. The competition was a little strange. We were the only band to compete in our genre. All of the other bands were screaming metal bands. It was like having Incubus Vs Mudvayne x3. What was really annoying was the fact that my good �friends� from Jamus were there. Of course I ignored them but it sucks when you have fleas. You know what I mean? The competition was fun and I made some new friends. I even asked the winner�s guitarist to do a favor for me. Of course that�s between him and me, so I won�t be disclosing that info. However, Jamus is going to have tons of fun at next week�s finals. Don�t worry; it�s nothing illegal or anything like that. During the competition, Lane and I went and had some grub at the Country Kitchen. It was funny because there was this guy there who tried to walk out on his bill. What was really dumb was that there was a cop eating there. Well the guy was drunk and not quite stable. He ended up getting escorted out of the restaurant. He came back later with more drunk friends. I told Lane � we better leave before we get shot�. Right when we pulled out, there were squad cars pulling into the driveway.
After Sutter Cane was announced the winner I went home and got my stuff ready for the next day at the Studio. I went in about 11 am and chilled out for a few hours. I got beat up by Smurf and Kelsie brought oatmeal cookies. It was about 5 pm when I left. It was so cool watching everything coming together. This is going to be an awesome CD. I just can�t wait to hear the finished product!
This Friday I�m doing an acoustic thing with Lane and Smurf for a dance recital. It�s always cool to do stuff for the community. We should get Brownie Points!
My guitar is still broken. Jim Bo ordered me a new tuning key a week ago and it still hasn�t come in. So now, when I practice, I can�t even tell if I�m on the right fret. Everything is so out of tune.
Oh, well, I suppose I should check with Lane and Smurf and find out if we will be rehearsing tonight.
