Potential lyrics
Ive been toying with some possible lyrics for some new songs. They dont quite have themes yet but as I write Im sure they will come. You get to see the process!
Wicked,
Little girl with mommys lipstick on.
Twisted,
Little girl that plays with blades for fun.
Now my dilemma is where do I go from hereI think this is where the music changes and I imagine well have a bit of a build up before the chorus. A nice little bridge, if you will.
Where do I go from here?
should I use that? How about:
Nothing is as it appears.
Where does one go from here?
My views are altered.
My faith has faltered,
And Im left with no reasons why
Ok, so now I have my bridge and the rhythm almost fits. Ill have to work with Lane on it later. Now the ChorusI want something repetitive and catchy. Do I go with a single, two word sentence that is repeated a few times or do I use a catchy phrase? It probably would help if we actually worked on the chorus musically. *grin* Ill just put a couple of ideas down. I think Ill take the why from the bridge and have it lead into the chorus.
(1)
life was arranged,
and I feel shortchanged.
Nothing but remnants
Lost in an instant.
Whats left of me?
or
(2)
Im left standing in the cold?
Standing in the cold.
My soul has been sold
And its time to fold.
Why am I standing in the cold?
So now I have my two possible choruses, but more then likely Ill end up with something completely different. Now I need more verses. I need to find the theme and keep with it
Faithless,
Little girl down on her knees.
Blackened,
Little girl hiding in the lilies.
ok, I think that should cover a good third of the song, but Ill have to listen to the music a little more before I consider any more verses. The music is fairly hard-core so it will be nice to have a haunting vocal to it. Something simple that can weave through it. I think this song will turn out fairly good.
